Oro Jump

Creating a trajectory.

Oro Jump is a game I made for Global Game Jam 2012.

The theme of the game jam was ouroboros, a snake eating it’s own tail, and I already had a game design idea so I just incorporated ouroboros into it. My school also had special benefits if you developed a Windows Phone 7 game, so the game is for Windows Phone 7.

The result was a game in which you play as a frog who is traveling through the inside of an ouroboros. Jump trajectory is created by clicking and dragging across the screen.

There are two modes, casual in which you can take as much time as you want, and hardcore where the points are doubled but you have a limited time to make your jump before the platform you are on disappears.

All in all I probably only worked on the project for 12-15 of the allotted 48 hours we were allowed. It turned out to be a pretty fun game and won 2nd place at my school which is pretty good considering I was solo developing against teams of up to 7.

Here’s some more pictures.
